Wow! What a terrible April. The Covid-19 Pandemic aside, I spilled ramen on my laptop, nearly frying my keyboard computer chip, and was attacked by my cat by accident one night. My cat heard this thunderous boom while we slept and went full Mortal Kombat on me in confusion. And we’re not talking about a few scratches here: we’re talking razor cuts on my lower back, right arm and wrist, and my right breast. The last one was so deep I could see the red of my muscles and I had to wear butterfly strips to keep it closed. But my wounds are healed, my laptop was professionally repaired by Bit Tech Computer Solutions (Rock Island), and I’m ready for May.
With my laptop in the shop for a week and a half, I could not work on the Lancer one-shot. As of April 30th, I am on page 31 of 33. After I finish coloring pages, all that is left is the lettering and a cover page (already have my concept for that). I’m hoping I can publish it by the ides of May.
Chapter 5 of Adder’s Kiss will be published on May 2nd by 1 pm. It is a flashback of Margaret when she was a ranger for Yellow Stone National Park. I had a lot of fun painting the backgrounds for this chapter, because in 2017 I was watching a lot of Bob Ross painting tutorials. I watched them most nights to fall alseep.
Stay safe and enjoy the Bright Abyss.
